Meet the Band: Our Story So Far
Every band has a story, and ours begins with a shared love of folk music and the timeless art of storytelling. Though we’ve known each other for years, moving in the same musical and social circles, we’d never made music together—until now. A passion for local history and a desire to tell those stories through song brought us together, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Mole first joined after hearing some of the early productions Adam and Simon had worked on. With a keen ear for production, he felt he could elevate the sound, and his instincts were spot on. Together, we discovered a natural synergy, creating music that felt true to our roots while exploring new creative horizons.

Crafting the Sound
Our songwriting process often begins with one of us bringing an idea to the group—a story, a melody, or a fully formed song—and together, we shape it into something greater. Adam takes the lead as the primary songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, while Simon lends his talents on piano and accordion. Mole rounds out our sound with guitar, mandolin, and a variety of other instruments, while also taking on the production role.
The themes that inspire us most come from our surroundings: the history and stories of our hometown and personal experiences that resonate deeply. These threads weave through our music, creating a tapestry of sound and storytelling that feels authentic to who we are.
Our First Single: "Hello Morning Sun"
We’re thrilled to be releasing our debut single, “Hello Morning Sun,” on January 17, 2025. This song is a reflection on appreciating the simple things in life—those quiet, often overlooked moments that ground us and bring joy.
Originally written a few years ago as a simpler piece, the song has grown alongside us. As we came together to form the band, we reimagined its arrangement, adding layers of traditional folk instruments and a bigger sound with drums. The recording process was a journey of rediscovery, breathing new life into a song that now feels like the perfect introduction to who we are.
