Behind the Scenes: Shooting the Video for "Hello Morning Sun"
There’s something magical about seeing a song come to life, and that’s exactly how we felt during the video shoot for our debut single, “Hello Morning Sun.” The song is about appreciating the simple things in life, and we wanted the video to reflect that sentiment—rooted in nature, connection, and the beauty of everyday moments.

Choosing the Perfect Setting
The first step was finding a location that could capture the heart of the song. After some searching, we settled on a beautiful outdoor spot near Lincoln, surrounded by rich woodland and the gentle morning light that inspired the track. The setting felt like it was plucked straight from the song’s lyrics—calm, serene, and full of life’s quiet joys.
Bringing the Vision to Life
With our vision set, we worked with a small but talented crew to make it happen. When we say small, we mean one man, Ben from Good Frames, who happens to be Simons brother. The shoot began early in the morning to capture the golden hour light, a perfect match for the song’s theme. The crisp air, soft sunlight, and natural surroundings made it easy to immerse ourselves in the moment.
Each scene was designed to highlight the essence of the song:
Shots of us performing walking through the natural woodland, the melodies carried on the breeze.
Intimate close-ups of the instruments and us performing together — Adam’s guitar, Simon’s keyboard, and Mole’s mandolin—emphasising the craftsmanship and care behind the music.
Candid moments that felt real and unscripted, reminding us all of why we love making music.

The Challenges and Highlights
Of course, no video shoot is complete without a few unexpected moments. The weather was kind to us, a beautiful clear and crisp day, nestled between a rainy spell, but it sure was cold! We were feeling the 0˚c breeze after a few hours outdoors.
The shoot was full of memorable moments, in particular exploring the area around us, seeing new sites and uncovering hidden landscapes.

What’s Next?
The video is currently in post-production, and we can’t wait to share it with you. It’s a visual love letter to the song, a celebration of life’s simple pleasures, and a reflection of everything we hope to convey with our music.
